Losing a loved one in a car accident can be extremely difficult and can cause loss of wages for surviving family members. Accidents are often caused by the mistakes or recklessness of drivers, due to distractions or errors on the road. Common causes of South Carolina car accidents include:

  • Not being aware of surroundings- When drivers do not take the time to look in their mirrors and pay attention to cars around them, they can cause serious traffic accidents.
  • Distractions behind the wheel- Many drivers today are distracted with cell phones, GPS devices or other activities while driving, when their focus should be on operating their vehicle.
  • Speeding or other illegal maneuvers- Drivers that do not obey speed limits and other rules of the road can easily cause accidents with other motor vehicles.

If a negligent driver has injured you or a loved one, it is important to have an attorney by your side that can help you get fair compensation for medical bills and other damages.
